When changing over, we recommend starting on an empty stomach & feed 2 - 3 times per day. Do not feed with any other foods & follow your Veterinarian’s instructions regarding medications & supplements. If you would like to feed treats, it’s best to make your own with the recipe supplied. Do not overfeed. If your dog gets soft stools you may be overfeeding, reduce portions. Do not let your dog get fat.

This recipe makes approx. 10 cups of food
To be used with Essex Cottage Farms Garden Vegetables & Essex Cottage Farms Pure Alfalfa.

Recommended to be used with Urban Wolf Wild Fish Oil Softgels.

In a Bowl Mix Together:

5 cups of ESSEX COTTAGE FARMS ORIGINAL BASE MIX
1 cup of Essex Cottage Farms Garden Vegetables (or 1 cup of pureed Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, or Squash & 1 cup of pureed raw Broccoli, Green Beans, Swiss Chard or Spinach & 2 pureed Apples)

1 1/2 tbsp of Essex Cottage Farms Pure Alfalfa.

1 cup of water & soak for a few minutes

Add to the Bowl:
1/4 Sunflower Oil (or Safflower Oil)

2 raw eggs (cooked if feeding RAW)

1 1/2 - 2 cups of water

4 cups (2lbs) of regular/medium raw ground Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Pork or Lamb (*do not use lean meat)

6 Urban Wolf Essentials Wild Fish Oil Softgels - soak in warm water and add (or add 1/2 cup of canned Salmon or Mackerel)

Mix well and BAKE covered in a 8x8" baking pan: 350F for 30-45 mins or 15-20 mins HIGH in the Microwave. Cool and divid into serving portions. Prepared food MUST BE REFRIGERATED, it will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge. Extra serving potions can be frozen. *Extras: Feed liver once per week: 1 tsp per 10lb weight.*

*For Feeding RAW: Feed cooked for 3 month, then gradually change to raw if you wish. Combine all ingredients except meat & soak for 30 mins. Add raw meat and serve. For large raw batches, combine, divide into portions & freeze, do not pre-soak.

*For Homemade Treats: Combine all ingredients. Place by the teaspoonful 1/2” apart onto a lined/greased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake 350F for 20 mins, 200F until dry. Cool. Store in fridge or freezer. Treats can be used as baked ‘kibble’.
